Musicians, Ykee Benda and Eddy Kenzo walked away winners at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) that were held in Dallas, USA on Sunday.

Ykee Benda could not hide his excitement about the accolade, taking to social media to express his gratitude. He posted, “we put in a lot of work this whole year….a lot of moves and I promised you God will come through for the Brand Ykee Benda….but I dint know he would do some of his magic this very year. I can’t Stop crying while I thank him for not letting me down.”
On the other hand, Kenzo beat top guns in the region including Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, Kenya’s Sauti Sol, Uganda’s Bebe Cool and Tanzania’s Ali Kiba among others to the East African Artiste of the Year award.
The awards which were being held for the 5th edition are the biggest African Music Awards in the Diaspora.
