Vietnam Opens Consulate In Uganda
Vietnam has opened its consulate in Uganda to cement relations between the two countries.
The consulate was launched by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Okello Oryem here in Kampala on Monday evening.
“The two countries have worked together on the range of issues where we have shared a lot of experiences and strive for better prizes and opportunities for indigenous coffee growers. We look forward to working with you particularly in economic and commercial fields and getting experience especially in agro-processing and in medium and small scale industries,” Oryem stated in his speech.
According to the Honorary Consul, Ceasar Mulenga, the consulate will be responsible for both diplomatic and trade relations between the two countries.
“Basically, there are two major responsibilities; commercial diplomacy and public diplomacy; we are also looking forward to attracting investment from Vietnam,” Mulenga said.
