Police have come out to clarify that Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu has not been arrested.

Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola took to twitter to deny the arrest.
“Nobody has arrested him,” the IGP stressed. “We are simply escorting and providing security to him as we promised yesterday. He is heading home.”

Police yesterday said they would not allow Bobi Wine to hold a procession from the airport, and that he would instead be escorted to his home in Magere.

A convoy of patrol police trucks, an ambulance and other SUVs with Police Registration plates were seen driving off at break-neck speed from Entebbe Airport shortly after 1pm.

Media centre boss, Ofwono Opondo confirmed in a tweet that police has delivered Bobi Wine to his residence in Magere.
From Entebbe Airport @PoliceUg has delivered @HEBobiwine Kyagulanyi safely in his home at Magere, Wakiso District,” he tweeted.
However, a journalist, Sadab Kitatta Kaaya threw a spanner in Ofwono Opondo and Martin Ochola’s works when he said Bobi Wine was at Kasangati Police station
“Have @OfwonoOpondo and @OkothOchola1 confused Kasangati police station for @HEBobiwine Magere home? I can confirm that he is inside this police car UP 7500 parked at Kasangati police station not at his home as Opondo & Ochola are reporting.

According to the journalist, Bobi Wine was in the guarded car at Kasangati Police station and not at his home in Magere

By 2:30 Pm,.a crowd had huddled around the MP’s residence in Magere, off Gayaza Road after getting tipped that Bobi Wine had already been delivered safely home. Others waited for the police convoy to confirm that “their president” had been safely delivered home.
The MP returned home after spending nearly three weeks in the United States
