“Fresh Kid’s Style Is Not Sustainable”-Honourable Kato Lubwama

Besides politics, Hon Kato Lubwama, the Rubaga South Member of Parliament is well conversant with Uganda’s Entertainment Industry. He has been part of it for the last 20 and more years so his opinion matters to some extent. He was a musician before he quit music to concentrate on comedy.

On Monday, he was asked to give his opinion on 7-year-old rapper Fresh Kid real name Patrick Ssenyonjo who has had everyone talking for the last two months. Not because of his tender age but because of his lyrical maturity, star look and level of confidence he bears among others.

Well, according to Kato Lubwama, Freshkid by 2024 will no longer be in music industry because his style is not sustainable.

“If you look at people who started  this style like Kid Fox, Red Banton, Mad Tigger are all off the scene. What helped Chameleone and other artistes is that they didn’t put all their efforts on ragga, they switched to melodic music with message,” Kato Lubwama said.

He also advised the little lad to go back to musical schools and learn how to write songs for himself and also put it in mind that school comes first more than anything.
