City businessman Edward Matovu is embroiled in a child custody row with his wife Christine Nagujja. The two are bickering over their two children who the wife disappeared with to an unknown destination.
Snoops reveal that Matovu was recently forced to lodge a complaint at Nansana Police Station registered vide reference number SD: 26/06/09/2017 against Nagujja, after she denied him access to their two children only identified as Jojo and Duda aged 8 and 7 years respectively.
Matovu, in a statement at police, claims that the two were customarily married after she officially introduced him to her parents on December 4th, 2010 at Kitemu, Nabbingo along Masaka Road.
However, they developed some misunderstandings in early 2014 when Nagujja started behaving strangely.
At that time, she claimed she had registered for a Master’s degree program. Matovu reveals that that was the time she was also working with a corporate organization along Lumumba Avenue.
During the same time, she was always away from home claiming to be busy with the job and her Master’s Degree.
In his statement, Matovu claims that this is the time his wife almost abandoned their marital home for the job and the course. This forced him to involve parents from both sides to mitigate the marriage breakup.
Matovu intimated that the wife disappeared from their marital home and blocked all family members from accessing it. It is said that around the 2015 Christmas season, reports started surfacing of how Nagujja had been snatched by another man and was already baking a bun in the oven for him.
A few months later the rumour was confirmed after one of her family members revealed that Nagujja had given birth for her mystery man.
Sources say that ever since then Matovu has been fighting to get his children under his custody, although Nagujja denied him access to them.
Insiders reveal that this is the reason Matovu took the matter to Nansana police station so that the child custody row can be sorted by Police’s Family and Child Protection Unit.
