City comedian and CEO Comedy Store Uganda, Alex Muhangi, has responded to reports he has beef with fellow comedian and friend Salvado Idringi following his comments about NBS’ talent search show, The Comic.
Muhangi wrote on his timeline that “The Comic & NBS, this is what am thinking. Get that Car, give it to MC Mariachi and we call it a day,” which according to local tabloids tore Salvador apart to a point of regretting his friendship.
However, speaking to ChimpLyf, the slender comedian said he was just making an opinion which he believes has caused no bad blood.
“All I said was asking The Comic not to show the auditions, because the aspiring comedians are not yet prepared for TV, I addressed NBS. This is not personal. I believe I should have an opinion when it comes to comedy in Uganda,” he said.
The father of one added it is tabloids that have been bringing people and their careers down by publishing bad information about them.
“I know some people want to make stories, but please stop these things of creating beef between artists, it does not build our society, it just affects our brands. Salvador performed at my show last week if we had any sort of beef like people are trying to say he would not have been there,” he added
He concluded by advising people to always be positive towards the entertainment industry.
