Ugandan Allied Democratic Front (ADF) rebel leader Jamil Mukulu is arraigned on July 12, 2015 before the media in Jinja. The 51 year old, suspected rebel has been a wanted man in Uganda for a range of crimes including terrorism and murder. Uganda accuses the rebel group of links to Somalia’s Al-Shabaab and Al-Qaeda. The ADF rebels launched an insurgency against President Yoweri Museveni in the early 1990s and later established bases in Congo. The rebel group is accused of murdering hundreds of people in a string of massacres in Uganda and the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
